Not only do our roads and sidewalks need repair, they are too often used as speedy cut-through routes, which makes biking, walking and driving more dangerous.

Using crash data and deep familiarity with Newton's roads, Andreae has advanced speed limit reductions near parks, schools and vulnerable populations. She has advocated for accessible, safe crossings for walkers and those with mobility devices. She has pushed for bike lanes and protection for cyclists and pedestrians, and has targeted the most dangerous intersections for improvements.
